rock wool
rock wool is also known as rock wool and is a kind of mineral wool. fluffy short fibers made from natural rock, mineral or industrial waste.
it was widely used in metallurgy, machinery, building materials, petroleum, and chemical industries in the 1970s. the natural rock, ore and other raw materials are melted in a cupola or other kiln (temperature below 2000 °c), and blown and quenched into a fiber shape by a pressure of 50 atm. or use the twisting method to drop the melt stream on the multi-stage rotary rotor, and smash into fibers by centrifugal force, the diameter is generally 3-7 microns, the bulk density is 40-200 kg/m^3, and the thermal conductivity is 0.029-0.046 at normal temperature. watt / meter · open, below 0.1 ° ~ 0.145 watt / m · open at 600 ° c, non-combustible, not mildew, no sputum. according to the temperature of use, ordinary rock wool (less than 900 ° c); high temperature rock wool (greater than 900 ° c). high quality rock wool can withstand temperatures from 1250 to 1400 °c. rock wool and mineral wool can be made into strips, belts, ropes, felts, blankets, mats, mats, tubes and plates. used in single crystal furnace, metallurgical casting, petroleum cracking and space technology ablation resistant, high temperature resistant insulation materials; sound absorbing materials and thermal insulation materials for construction and equipment; and natural asbestos substitutes for cement products, rubber reinforcement materials and high temperature sealing materials, high temperature filter materials and high temperature catalyst carriers.
rock wool is an inorganic fiber made of natural rocks such as basalt, gabbro, dolomite, iron ore, bauxite, etc., which are melted at high temperature and fibrillated.
the slag wool is an inorganic fiber made of industrial slag such as blast furnace slag, phosphate slag, fly ash, etc., which is remelted and fiberized. these two kinds of fibers can be processed into various products such as plates, tubes, felts, belts and papers. they should be used for insulation, fire prevention, sound absorption and earthquake resistance of buildings and industrial equipment, pipes and furnaces.
performance
1. thermal insulation performance: the thermal insulation performance is the basic characteristic of rock wool and slag cotton products. their thermal conductivity is usually between 0.03 and 0.047 w/(mok) under normal temperature conditions (about 25 °c).
2. combustion performance: the burning performance of rock wool and slag cotton products depends on the amount of flammable adhesive. rock wool and slag wool are inherently inorganic silicate fibers, which are non-flammable. in the process of processing into products, organic binders or additives are sometimes added, which have certain effects on the combustion properties of the products.
3, sound insulation performance: rock wool, slag cotton products have excellent sound insulation and sound absorption performance, the sound absorption mechanism is that this product has a porous structure, when the sound wave passes, the friction due to the flow resistance, so that the sound energy part of it is absorbed by the fiber, which hinders the transmission of sound waves.
glass wool
glass wool is a category of glass fibers and is an artificial inorganic fiber. natural minerals such as quartz sand, limestone and dolomite are used as the main raw materials, and some raw materials such as soda ash and borax are melted into glass. in the melted state, the flocculent fine fibers are blown by an external force, and the fibers and the fibers are three-dimensionally intersected and entangled with each other to exhibit many fine gaps. this gap can be seen as a void. therefore, glass wool can be regarded as a porous material and has good heat insulation and sound absorption properties.
glass wool is a material that melts glass into a cotton-like material. its chemical composition is glass. it is an inorganic fiber. it has good shape, small bulk density, thermal conductivity, thermal insulation, good sound absorption and corrosion resistance. decorative and chemical properties are stable.
characteristic
the sound absorption characteristics of centrifugal glass wool are not only related to thickness and bulk density, but also related to factors such as cover material and structural structure. in the construction application, it is also necessary to take into consideration various aspects such as cost, beauty, fire prevention, moisture resistance, dust, and aging resistance.
rubber
rubber and plastics are the collective name of the rubber and plastics industry. they are all subsidiary products of petroleum. they are all the same in source. however, in the process of making products, the physical properties are different, the uses are different, and the rubber is used. widely the tires, plastics are becoming more and more widely used in the demand and use of technology and market, and they are inseparable in daily life.
the difference between rubber and plastic
simply put, the most essential difference between plastic and rubber is plastic deformation when the plastic deforms, and the rubber is elastically deformed. in other words, it is not easy to restore the original state after the plastic is deformed, and the rubber is relatively easy. the elasticity of the plastic is very small, usually less than 100%, and the rubber can reach 1000% or more. the molding process is completed after the molding process is completed, and the vulcanization process is required after the rubber molding process is completed.
plastic and rubber belong to the same polymer material, mainly composed of carbon and hydrogen atoms, and some contain a small amount of oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine, silicon, fluorine, sulfur and other atoms. their properties are special and their use is special. at normal temperature, the plastic is solid, very hard, and can not be stretched and deformed. the hardness of the rubber is not high, it is elastic, it can be stretched and lengthened, and the stretching can be restored to its original state. this is due to the difference in their molecular structure. another difference plastics can be recycled and reused many times, while rubber can not be recycled directly. it can only be processed into reclaimed rubber before it can be used. the plastic is in the form of 100 to 200 degrees and the rubber is 60 to 100 degrees. the shape is similar. plastic does not include rubber. complexly speaking, in a broad sense, rubber is actually a kind of plastic, and plastic includes rubber.
